Spiritualized surprised nearly everyone yesterday by announcing they’d be playing tiny Bushwick DIY space Secret Project Robot that night (4/2) as a warm-up to their West Coast tour that includes stops at both Coachella weekends. SPR let in maybe 150 people, and Jason Pierce and his band (which includes Oneida drummer Kid Millions on this go-round) ran though a dozen songs, including “Walkin’ with Jesus” by Jason’s old band, Spacemen 3 (It was on the setlist, but got cut).
